we are a little addicted to 3 porch farm's strawberry crop this year. i am not sure what we will do when the season ends!
we have been making a lot of strawberry desserts and always making sure to have whipping cream on hand. this tart is one of my favorites to make and is as fresh and simple as they come. you can make it with just about any fruit you have on hand.
1 package of puff pastry
1 1/2 pint of fresh strawberries
2 Tbsp honey whipping cream directions
-pre heat the oven to 400 degrees
-dice 1/2 of the strawberries
-on low heat, slowly cook down the diced strawberries and honey
-let cool for 10 minutes
-thinly slice the rest of the strawberries
-layer the strawberries on top of the cooked berries
-place tart in oven and bake for 10 -12 minutes
-meanwhile whip the whipping cream and add a sweetener if desired.
-serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top
