i was on a country drive and this house caught my eye. it was not fancy nor livable by any means.....it was old, had that strange fake brick shingling on the exterior, the windows were broken, the porch was leaning.... but for some reason i can't stop romanticising about this house. maybe it is the pasture with the hay against the blue sky.... or the rusted patched tin roof..... just a daydream

Tallulah Gorge
in athens, the maples just started to get really vibrant so sunday, we thought that we would go for a hike and admire the colors. we headed up to
, packed a picnic and hiked around. many of the fall colored leaves had dropped but we couldn't have picked a better day for a hike!
if you haven't been here, it is worth a visit any time of year. we love coming here for a hike and then we always stop at this little rustic pizza place on the way home, called louies on the lake which is located on lake rabun.

seed saving
when dry fall weather comes, it's the perfect time for seed collecting. if you've been admiring some vines or flowers this summer, grab a couple of pods and save some seeds. just let them dry well in a warm room, then store in an envelope and label, making notes of color and growing conditions (part shade, full sun, does well in shade, etc.). save for next year or give some as small thank you or get well gifts.
